Anderman cruiser…

Moving into the final stretch on this build. Some tweaks have been made to the hammer section and I have had to go back and redo some elements to lower the poly count. The model was weighing in at 32MB before I had even started to finish and I have it down to 25MB now. The number of ‘parts’ and resulting polygons make it a tad annoying to view while I am working on it is all.

Changes include all new main engine assembly (conventionally). For those who don’t know these ships generally get around using an impeller drive (gravity waves); the main engines are used when coming into or leaving stations. I remade the thrusters as well and finished on the main heat dump along the top of the ship. Some texture work has started as well. Many parts have not yet been cloned and is why the ship looks bare in spots.

  1. The modeling on this is superb. 🙂 It still reminds me of a submarine.
